Little Havana march planned for day Castro dies

Members of several Cuban exile organizations met Saturday and agreed to
have a rally and march in Little Havana on the day that Cuban leader
Fidel Castro's death is announced.

''We want to project a message to the rest of the world that although
Fidel Castro can't oppress us, we still have a dictator in our homeland
that continues to do so,'' said organizer Ramón Saúl Sánchez, of the
Democracy Movement.

Representatives from the Cuban-American National Foundation, Agenda Cuba
and Directorio Democratico attended the meeting, as did Miami City
Commissioner Tomás Regalado.

Sánchez said many details are still sketchy, but the plan right now is
to shut down Calle Ocho and place a platform near the restaurant
Versailles. Afterward, the group plans to march east down Calle Ocho.

Another meeting is planned for 8 p.m Thursday.
