Four Cuban sailors who jumped ship in Saint John, last week plan to seek
refugee status in Canada. They left the Greek-owned cargo ship Dimitra G
last Tuesday, and now are awaiting a decision by Immigration Canada.
Citing safety violations Transport Canada detained the ship following an
inspection on Friday.
