July 21, Colombo: The two Cuban epidemiologists have arrived in Sri
Lanka this morning, the Health Ministry confirmed.
Dr. Palitha Maheepala, Deputy Director General, Public Health Services
confirmed that the discussions over the controlling of fast spreading
dengue epidemic will begin shortly with the two experts.
The two Cuban epidemiologists are here to setup a new framework to
control the breeding of dengue mosquitoes before the Sri Lankan
government could import the Bacillus Thuringensis Israelensis (BTI)
