An area of low pressure that is causing rain and strong winds in the
Gulf of Mexico is expected to reach Lee County Tuesday night and last
through Wednesday morning.

A Hurricane Hunter aircraft is expected to investigate the disturbance
on Tuesday. The National Weather Service says there is less than a 30
percent chance the storm will become a tropical cyclone.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Lee County will receive more rain and strong,
offshore winds estimated to be between 20 to 25 knots, said Todd Barron,
a National Weather Service meteorologist.

"We'll get some more rain, but right now it doesn't look like it's going
to strengthen," Barron said.
