Cuba says new tests have confirmed four more deaths from swine flu,
raising the official death toll from the illness to seven. At least
three victims were pregnant women.
The Communist Party newspaper Granma reported Saturday that there have
been 695 confirmed cases of swine flu in a country of about 11 million.
The communist government has said it will use the army and mass
quarantines to fight swine flu but has expressed reservations about an
international vaccine.
Most of the early cases were visitors to the island, but the number of
Cubans with swine flu is rising.
The World Health Organization says there have been more than 4,500 swine
flu deaths worldwide.
