The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers will earmark UAH 5 in humanitarian
aid for Cuba.
A relevant resolution was passed at the government's meeting on October
7, the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry said referring to its head
Volodymyr Shandra.
According to him, the Foreign Ministry was instructed to negotiate the
list of goods, which are to be transferred to Cuba.
By prior arrangement, Cuba is to use the money earmarked by the
Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers to buy carbamide fertilizer at a tender
from Ukrainian producers, the statement reads.
Over 23,000 Ukrainian children who suffered as a result of the disaster
at Chornobyl NPP have received free medical aid in Cuba, Shandra reminded.
