(CBS 3) NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. A Jersey Shore millionaire was taken into
custody after being charged with traveling overseas to have sex with
young boys. Sources said he also a suspect in the death of a 10-year-old
in Romania.

Until being indicted on federal child rape charges last month,
millionaire Anthony Mark Bianchi lived in a North Wildwood condominium
that was within walking distance to the Ivanhoe Motel, a property he
owns with his parents.

Monday morning Bianchi’s father refused to answer any questions.

His son, 44, is accused of traveling to Romania, Cuba, & The Republic of
Moldova to have sex with boys ages 10 to 13.

Now in federal custody, sources said Bianchi is a suspect in the rape
and strangulation death of a 10-year-old boy who vanished from his
Bucharest, Romania home, two years ago this week.

Romanian investigators want his DNA.

“I'm worried about my sons and I warned them, I said, 'If he ever
bothers you or wants you to do something, just say no," said a former
Jersey Shore neighbor of Bianchi, who wished to remain anonymous.

She said Bianchi told her, "Very matter-of-factly, 'You know you can buy
or rent boys, 12-year-old boys for sex over in Thailand?' I was dumbstruck."

She told CBS-3 she often witnessed young men going to and coming from
Bianchi’s home.

“They looked like teenagers, but I couldn't tell if they were 18 or 15,"
she said.

Bianchi’s defense attorney, Charles Peruto said Bianchi will submit DNA
to authorities and wants his client out on bail.

“What I want is the safest place for him. Everyone in a small community
like that has read the newspaper, they’re going to be watching him like
a hawk, if he so much as hugs a kid across the street he’s going to get
arrested, so nobody has anything to fear whatsoever,” said Peruto.

Federal prosecutors said that Bianchi is considered a dangerous should
he be released, which could happen by the end of the week. If he is
released, Bianchi will not be able to leave the country because his
passport has been seized.
