India and Cuba have signed an accord to increase bilateral collaboration
in the IT sector and train 400 Cuban computer science and communication
professionals.
Indian Ambassador to Cuba, Mitra Vashist and Cuba's vice-minister of
Information and Communication (MIC) Boris Moreno signed the accord which
deals with training of 400 Cuban professionals and facilitate
technological exchange among different institutions of both countries.
"We are happy to know that India, a country highly developed in the area
of technology and software is willing to support us," Cuban news agency
ACN quoted Moreno as saying.
Vashist and the director for the Coordination Centre for Formation and
Development of Cuban Capital of MIC, Maria Elena Deulofeu signed the
agreement here on Monday.
