HAVANA, Cuba, June 2 (Ana Aguililla / www.cubanet.org) – Human rights
activist Osmany Fuentes and four other prisoners at the Kilo 8 prison in
Camagüey started a hunger strike May 20, according to a report from the
prison.
The prisoners are demanding better medical treatment, religious
attention, the right to call family members and transfers to prisons in
their home provinces.
The other hunger strikers were identified as Nelson Vázquez, Silvio
Valdés, Yerandi Reyes and Ángel García.
