MIAMI -- The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Sawfish repatriated four
Cuban migrants to Bahia de Cabanas, Cuba, Nov. 14.
A group of seven Cuban migrants were rescued from their rustic vessel by
the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Oak Tuesday morning about 46 miles
east of Cape Canaveral, Fla.
Oak crewmembers issued life jackets and safely transferred the seven
migrants to the Oak.

The seven migrants were reportedly at sea for eight days before being
rescued. Two of the migrants needed to be medically evacuated as they
were severely dehydrated. One migrant was brought ashore for processing.

Once aboard Coast Guard cutters, all migrants receive food, water, life
jackets and basic medical attention.
The Oak is a 225-foot seagoing buoy tender homeported in Charleston, S.C.
The Sawfish is an 87-foot patrol boat homeported in Key West, Fla.
