Cuba receives humanitarian aid from Spain after Gustav

HAVANA, Cuba (ACN): A humanitarian shipment arrived to the Jose Marti
International Airport from the Spanish Cooperation for International
Development Agency to palliate the damages caused to Cuba by Hurricane
Gustav.

Meant for the affected areas of westernmost Pinar del Rio province and
the special municipality Isle of Youth, the shipment weighs 15.8 tons
and it is made up by hygienic material, tents, water collecting tanks,
small power generators and mosquito nets.

The flight arrived from the Spanish Humanitarian Logistic Center for
Cooperation for Latin America, based in Panama.

Spain's ambassador to Havana, Carlos Alonso Zaldivar and Ricardo
Guerrero Blanco, Cuban Foreign Investment and Economic Collaboration
deputy Minister, along Juan Diego Ruiz Cumplido, general coordinator of
the Spanish Cooperation were at the airport to receive the humanitarian aid.
