First Presbyterian group to visit Cuba
Who: eight members of First Presbyterian Church in Nashville.
Where: Varadero, Cuba.
When: Sept. 21-28.
What: to provide funds to the Dora E. Valentin Presbyterian Church of
Cuba to construct an educational and learning center and take part in
the church's 50th anniversary celebration. The group will also visit
other churches and a theological seminary in Cuba.
How they paid for it: through donations from church members and
individual contributions.
