MARCH AGAINST THE APARTHEID SUFFERED BY THE CUBAN PEOPLE

MARCH AGAINST THE APARTHEID SUFFERED BY THE CUBAN PEOPLE
2007-11-21.
Dr. Darsi Ferrer, a Cuban citizen

City of Havana, November 20, 2007. We hereby convene All Cubans, without
any distinction, so that we all together commemorate the "International
Day of Human Rights", December 10, exercising our right to demonstrate
in a Pacific March, in silence, as a protest against the immoral and
illegal Apartueid Policy imposed on us by the Cuban government.

It is the duty of all persons to assume individual responsibility vis a
vis the tragedy that the Cuban nation is facing. Political, economical
and social changes are urgently needed to benefit All and facilitate the
end of this humiliating situation where a few in power trample over our
sovereignty while they enjoy the privileges that they deny to the
majority for the mere condition of being "nationals".

The governments, institutions, organizations and individuals are in
general under the obligation to promote the respect for the fundamental
rights and liberties as well as their recognition and universal application.

Let us advocate with our participation on that day there be recognition
and protection in each corner of the planet for the intrinsic dignity
and the equal and unalienable rights of all members of the human family.

Never in the History of the Republic of Cuba was there an Anti- National
government. The constitution now in force recognizes rights and
liberties for all Cubans (Arts. 42 & 43). The Criminal Code sanctions
Apartheid as a serious crime (Arts. 120=1 & 295-1). In reality both
pieces of legislations are violated as matter of routine by the official
policy in place.

The March shall take place in the park located in Calzada between D & E,
Vedado. The start time is 11.00 AM and shall consist of walking around
that park, in silence, to avoid any type of disorder or provocation.

We exhort the Cubans residing outside the island to on December 10, at
that same time, carry out activities in commemoration of this important
date so that in that manner they manifest their support to solidarity
with the March.

WE convoke the international organizations devoted to the defense of
Human Rights to join us to contribute to the promotion of the 30
articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and to the
elimination of Apartheid in Cuba.

In a special manner we expect the government to assure the order of this
act during the March and to block, in this occasion, trampling and
abuses by the State Security forces.
