A group of 25 people who say they're Cuban refugees have been handed
over to the Border Patrol after someone dropped them off at an Oakland
Park restaurant, authorities said Tuesday.

The Broward Sheriff's Office says the group claims to have arrived on
shore Monday night.

They say they were picked up by a truck or van, dropped off at the
Waffle House restaurant at 4840 NW 9th Avenue, and told to call police.

The Sheriff's Office says it was contacted by the group at 10:54 p.m.
and turned them over to federal immigration officials.
