Driver denied employment in Sibanicú

CAMAGUEY, Cuba - August 17 (Marilyn Díaz Fernández, Lux Info Press /
www.cubanet.org) - A man who said he has 20 years experience working as
a driver says government officials in Sibanicú have denied him
employment repeatedly because he refuses to participate in
government-organized political activities.

Albio Rojas, 50, said he had even signed up for a course of instruction
that would enable him to drive a government-owned taxi, but was informed
by Labor Ministry official Alfredo Padilla that he had been excluded
from the course.
