Two dissidents prevented from traveling to Havana

PINAR DEL RIO, Cuba, December 22 (Rafael Ferro Salas, Abdala Press / www.cubanet.org) - Carlos Collazo and Roberto Jesús Estrella Salas, members of the People's Party, say they were detained this week when they were about to travel to Havana for a meeting with fellow dissidents.

"Carlos and I were [planning on traveling to Havana to meet some friends were have there," said Estrella. "Apparently someone advised State Security and we were detained at the bus terminal as we were about to travel."

Estrella said the pair was held for six hours on Wednesday before being released. "No one can travel freely," he said.
