Havana Club Aims for Three Million Cases

Havana, Nov 28 (Prensa Latina) Cuban-French Havana Club International (HCI) general manager Phillipe Coutin revealed Monday they anticipate sales of three millions cases of the Cuban rum a year.
Coutin said the company was especially strong in Italy, Spain and Germany, plus other European nations, and emphasized its growth in important American markets such as Mexico and Chile, where sales had a 300 percent growth.
For Coutin, this is to be expected from a product of such quality and well-known name, as well as the joint effort of HCI workers.
Cuba Ron allied with Pernod Ricard in 1993 to form HCI, at which point in expanded its aged rum lines and sales skyrocketed.
The product has for years maintained high sales in the world, overall in Europe. The product´s commercialization has maintained for years high scales worldwide, mainly in Europe.
When they arrive at the three million case sales mark, putting Havana Club among the 20 bestselling rums on the globe, they are set to aim for the next stage: the under five million point.
After creating Havana Club International S.A mixed company, that Cuban rum has widened its aged lines and multiplied sales.
